What is the difference between organic and regenerative?Updated 8 months ago
Organic and Regenerative farming are different.
We recognise not all farming can be completely regenerative. Organic farming provides consumers a better end product (in terms of chemical treatment) than conventional farming, and we are supportive moving towards a system that uses less synthetic fertilisers, pesticides and chemicals in food production.
Farming systems are complex, and there are cases where tilling or soil disturbance is inevitably part of the process. An example of this is growing root vegetables or crops that require digging.
Through choosing food that is grown regeneratively you are supporting farmers to make the changes that are needed to restore the natural balance in the soil and reverse climate change.
Here's a great article that outlines some of the differences in organic vs regenerative.
